What is the invisible braces process?
During your first appointment, we determine if you are a good candidate for invisible braces. At that time, we will take a panoramic digital x-ray image so we can evaluate the patient for proper orthodontic treatment. (Primary teeth, wisdom teeth and any other unforeseen complications that may affect your invisible braces treatment)
We then take impressions of your teeth and send them to Clear Correct or Invisalign®. The company makes precise models of your teeth with precise machinery and comes up with before and after pictures which will be available for you to view so that you will know what to expect after your treatment with invisible braces. Every 3 weeks you will need to visit Dr. Monica for a quick check-up and confirmation that the teeth are moving at the correct timeframe. Your invisible braces should be worn all day and all night for at least 22 hours per day. The aligner trays are easily removable and will come out of your mouth only when you are eating or brushing your teeth. Compliance is the most important aspect of invisible braces to achieve perfect results.
You will need to continue wearing your invisible braces until you reach your completed orthodontic treatment. Treatment times will vary depending on the complexity of the case. For example, how crooked teeth are or how much spacing is available will determine the length of time for treatment.
